The European countries has a long history as agricultural and fishery countries and based on this long tradition, a large food processing sector has developed. Within the sector, numerous specialised companies offer cutting-edge technology, know-how, equipment & trade in the following areas:
The area is dominated by small and medium sized companies, which employ 70-80 percent of the workforce. The countries are strengthened by participation in the EU, EEC and several other international organisations. Although the European countries have similarities, they are individual countries with each their distinctive areas of expertise within the field.
